posted: July 17, 2008
For the fourth consecutive year, It's been reported by an annual survey into the illegal sales of tobacco to Hawaii's minors that there's once again been an increase and the largest increase to date since 1996 when the state began recording such data. The results were released by the state's Health Department's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division and Lt. Governor James "Duke" Aiona.

The survey was conducted jointly with the Cancer Research Center of Hawai'i's Prevention and Control Program, whose volunteers, aged 15-17 years, were under the direction of Dr. Cheryl Albright, interim program director.
